This site has no accounts, no sign-up and no shopping cart. Weights and karats you type are computed in your browser and never sent to us, we do not ask for your name, and we never sell personal data. What follows is a plain account of the data that does get collected, by whom, and what you can do about it.

Cookies and your controls
When enabled, Google Analytics measures page visits only after you accept analytics cookies. The site does not currently show ads or set advertising cookies. If we add advertising such as Google AdSense, this page will be updated first and we will ask for your consent before setting ad cookies where required.
You can change your analytics preferences at any time. We remember your choice in a cookie for 180 days. Withdrawing consent reloads the page to stop analytics. You can also delete existing analytics cookies in your browser settings.
Blocking them does not break the site. The prices and calculators work with cookies disabled.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or erasure of personal data we hold; object to processing based on legitimate interests; withdraw consent for cookies; and complain to your national supervisory authority. Our lawful bases are legitimate interests for security logging and consent for analytics cookies.
You may request disclosure of the categories of personal information collected and ask for deletion. We do not sell personal information for money and do not currently use advertising integrations.
Send the request from the Contact page and say which right you are exercising. We reply within 30 days. Because the site has no accounts, we may be unable to link server-log or cookie data to you as an individual; where that is the case we will say so rather than guess at a match.
Retention, transfers and children
Retention. Server logs are kept for up to 30 days for security and diagnostics, then discarded. Analytics data retention follows our Google Analytics property settings. Email correspondence is kept while it is useful for support, then deleted.
International transfers. Our hosting and analytics providers operate globally, so data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States, under the transfer mechanisms those providers offer.
Children. This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes. If a new feature changes what is collected, this page is updated before it ships and material changes are flagged on the site.
